Meet some of our DVGRR Alumni Superheroes!
Here is my hero. Purdy, who at 1 week old had her back paws amputated due to frostbite. She has made it through years of discomfort wearing her prosthetics. She is strong and resilient. She is our hero. – Renee Hashinger
Dazzi is very smart and has learned something new every single day. Today it is how to push through the mesh over the door, so she now knows she can come in and out when she wants, and she loves laying in the sun on the deck next to the potatoes growing. – Nancy Law
We adopted our girl Dixie in November 2024. She is perfect example of a tender, sweet, loving heart with the spirit of a lioness. It’s been a slow evolution, but we love her joy for everything… her favorite, nap time on the couch. – Marylou Donchez
We adopted Chester on July 12th, and he’s doing so great! He came from a breeder, and we feel so lucky to have him in our family. At first, he wouldn’t move from one spot and now he’s riding in the car, going to the beach, and playing with toys (he didn’t even know what toys were)! – Roxanne Sisak
Our rescued dogs have come from myriad backgrounds, with ample reason not to trust humans, and thrust into situations that are completely unknown. Yet, they do trust. They give boundless love, and the comfort they provide has no limits. Teddy brings daily joy to our lives. When I need a friendly ear, he listens. Our lives would be so quiet and lonely without him. Teddy has given our lives a whole new meaning. – Dedra and Hank Phillips
Here’s our freshly groomed mini Goldendoodle, Flame. She’s our world! – Lauryn Wilkinson
It’s simple: When you give like a superhero, more dogs will become superheroes like these!
