Melody #7 is a 4-year-old Golden that arrived earlier this year from another shelter. Her background is uncertain but it’s apparent she was severely neglected and traumatized. It takes her a long time to warm up to someone new. She will need an experienced adopter who will visit her several times at DVGRR before taking her home. She’s great with other dogs and will need a home with a mentor dog. She likes to play ball and also likes peanut butter. Melody’s adopter should be prepared for a challenge, but there will be a big reward each time she makes progress and feels safe.
